Call for Submissions: Creative Health Research Round-Up 2026
The National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH) is calling for submissions to the Creative Health Research Round-Up 2026 — the second edition of a report that's fast becoming a go-to evidence resource for the sector.
Building on the success of 2025
Last year's inaugural Round-Up had a fantastic response of 109 submissions from across the field, with 91 making their way into our 2025 report. Since then, the report has gone on to feature within thematic newsletters and a vast range of LinkedIn posts, inform evidence submissions to parliament and healthcare, and signpost resources to health and social care leaders, helping to grow awareness of the evidence base for creative health across the sector. It was our top-performing story in the February 25 edition of our general newsletter, which was read by over 1,100 subscribers, and has since become our third most visited page on the NCCH website, which yearly receives over 90,000 visitors. The January 2025 launch event featured six speakers from different career stages and corners of the UK, whose work appeared within our Round-Up report. Combining live and on-demand viewers, the event has now been watched by almost 1,000 viewers.
We're looking to build on that momentum in our 2026 edition and we would love to see your work featured!
What we're looking for
We welcome a broad range of outputs, including peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, practice reports and evaluations, and grey literature such as policy papers, toolkits, mapping outputs, strategies, and more. To be eligible, work should put creative health at its centre, offer meaningful analysis or reflection, have an open access component, and be published between 1st January and 31st December 2026.
The NCCH approach to research development
NCCH's approach is built on equity between academia and practice, and with a view to help translate research into action. Every submission is distilled into a plain-language summary, so findings are accessible to people across the sector, not just specialists. Our focus on UK-based work means the evidence we gather can translate directly into UK policy and systems change.

All eligible entries will feature in the 2026 report, due for release in mid-January 2027, and a selection of authors will be invited to present at our January 2027 launch event.
