Creative Health Interview: Commissioning creative health for better population health

Interview with Edward Kunonga, Director of Transformation and Population Health Management, North England Commissioning System (NECS), and Director of Population Health Management, North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Focus: Commissioning Creative Health - an embedded approach for better population health
In this 2 minutes video, Edward urges colleagues who are commissioning new services or pathways to consider embedding creative approaches, as with a range of international evidence (highlighted in the video) the effectiveness of engaging in creative health programmes and approaches are significant in terms of return on investment, as well as the impact it has on individuals, communities and population health. Edward highlights the key benefits for Commissioners, for as Edward states in his vision for creative health "we need to embed it so it is not an optional extra, not an afterthought, but it is part and parcel of how we support our populations to achieve better health".
