Creative Support for the Early Years (Select Committee Evidence Submission)

October 2025

This evidence submission highlights the role of arts, culture and creativity in giving children the best start in life and reducing health inequalities from the earliest years. Drawing on evidence and examples from across the UK, it explores how creative engagement can support child development, strengthen family wellbeing, improve inclusion and complement early years provision through community-based, preventative approaches.

This submission was selected to be one of 144 pieces of written evidence that inform the outcomes of the enquiry, Early Years: Improving Support for Children and Families, led by the Education Committee.
