This evidence submission explores the role of dance and movement in supporting healthy ageing, helping older people remain active, connected and independent for longer. Drawing on evidence and examples from across health, local government and the voluntary sector, it highlights how creative approaches to physical activity can prevent ill health, reduce health inequalities, support people living with long-term conditions, and contribute to more preventative, community-based models of care.
This submission was selected to be one of 143 pieces of written evidence that inform the output of the enquiry, Healthy Ageing: physical activity in an ageing society, led by the Health and Social Care Committee.
