Singing for Health Webinar - Supporting Creative Health in the Northwest

Hosted on the 24th May 2024 in celebration of Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

This regional Creative Health event focused on singing for health, discussed the growing evidence, how to develop the grassroots infrastructure for community singing groups and explored a regional case study.

In this session Elaine (Creative Health Associate for the Northwest) invited Loz Kaye (Director of County of Song) and Eleanor Sowerby (Wellbeing Lead - Queen Square Medical Practice) to speak about their experience of developing community choirs to improve their community’s health and wellbeing.

This event was hosted by the National Centre for Creative Health Associates Programme. This Programme, funded by Arts Council England, aimed to deliver a step change in delivering creative health across England, through knowledge exchange and relationship development. There was a Creative Health Associate in each NHS England Region, hosted by an Integrated Care Board.
