Teresa Salami-Oru is a Consultant in Public Health and Fellow with the Faculty of Public Health, and a Registered General Nurse.
Teresa Salami-Oru is a Consultant in Public Health working across the Southeast and London, recognised for her leadership in Creative Health and her ability to forge strong partnerships between local authorities and academic institutions. Her expertise spans qualitative research, community engagement, and the use of storytelling as a tool for transformation. She is a leading advocate of the Most Significant Change methodology and has overseen Creative Health programmes in both East Sussex and London.
Teresa currently serves as a Co-Investigator on the Coastal Community & Creative Health project (2024–2027), funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. With over two decades of public health experience, she has held senior roles and board positions at local and regional levels. She is committed to empowering communities through creativity to improve wellbeing and strengthen prevention efforts, championing Creative Health as an essential—not optional—part of good health and wellbeing.
