Our First Three Years - NCCH Impact Report
National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH) publishes Our First Three Years: Programmes, activities and achievements 2021-2024
The NCCH was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in July 2020 and launched in March 2021. The report: Our First Three Years: Programmes, activities and achievements 2021-2024, highlights the main strands of our work and maps them against our organisational objectives. It demonstrates the breadth of networks and partnerships we have built up over our first three years, and the progress we have made together in embedding creative health into health, social care and wider systems.
The report covers the period in which Lord Howarth of Newport established the charity along with founding trustees, Bill Boa and Professor Helen Chatterjee. In July 2024, Lord Howarth stood down as Chair of the NCCH and we welcomed our new Chair, Professor Martin Marshall. Lord Howarth is now President of the organisation and continues to support the field of creative health through his work in parliament.
Alex Coulter, Director of the NCCH, says:
“ I would like to express my deep-felt gratitude for Lord Howarth’s commitment, leadership and guidance and for his dedication to advancing the field of creative health over more than 30 years."
Professor Martin Marshall CBE, Chair of the NCCH says:
“This report outlines our achievements in promoting the benefits of creative health for the health and wellbeing of the population. We are proud of what we have done so far and hope you are inspired to contribute to our work.”
We are extremely grateful to our funders: Oak Foundation, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, The Baring Foundation and Arts Council England. We also receive funding from UKRI via our partnership with UCL on the Mobilising Community Assets to Tackle Health Inequalities research programme.
